1.) Well the experience depend on the point of view
Great:
- No Blackberry Service neccessary!
- Works reliable
- It's for free
Not so great:
- Battery performance; since install of traveler my battery just work for about max. 20h!
- Slows down the performance of the phone (a least a bit)
- data lost! Let me explain this a bit: I'm using Nokia smart phones since the first hour. From 9000 to 9100; 9210; 9500; E90 and now E75. So I'm really used to use all the fields the telephone book is offering me (e.g. Mobile(private), Mobile(work)..). Here lies the problem: The traveler isn't supporting all fields out of the box. Something I realized much to late. I found out, that there is a way to customize the field connections, but until now theres a lot of trail and error (can't find a field discribtion / reference for the nokia phonebook). A little expample:
Field in Lotus addressbook: mobile2
syncs with
Field in E75 addressbook: Fon.(work)
(I hope that I translate the fields correctly; I only got a german phone)
I seems for me, that some field aren't connected correctly and some fields from Nokia aren't connected anyway.
This is a big problem, for someone like me, who had mostly more than one phonenumber per addressentry.
But maybe this is my fault? Is someone experience the same problems?
- Missing Linux support (I was so proud of my Linux Notes, but now had to switch back)
